PLUMBERS
LOCAL 93 PICKET POLICY A lottery will be established
with every member of Local 93 assigned one day per year to assist with
picketing. Members will receive a minimum
of two (2) weeks notice of picket duty.
Members are asked to confirm date within 24 hours of notice. One date will be assigned each year. The following options will be available: 1.
Picket on date assigned
thru lottery 2.
Request reschedule a)
conflict with date b)
job responsibilities c)
vacation plans d)
name placed back in
lottery 3.
Volunteer for a date of
your choice 4.
Substitute – A member may
have an adult family member or another Local 93 member substitute on your
assigned date. 5.
Request hardship waiver a)
Waiver request must be
submitted in writing to the
Executive Board prior to
notice of picket duty. b)
Members name will be
removed from lottery until Executive Board meets on request c)
Executive Board approval 1)

waived 2)
member would be required
to handbill on two (2) weekend dates d)
Executive Board denial 1)

Members shall be
compensated according to the Local 93 By-Laws - $50.00 for a picket day
